Hello Scrapland! I hope everyone’s October has been going well! Mine is a bit hectic because it’s my sons’ birthday month, so I’ve been busy planning a Spongebob party for them. I’ve also been working like a maniac because we are short people. Crazy! So, after this, you might not see me for a little while because it’s only getting more hectic by the day! Anyway, River Rose has been super busy too…designing! I can’t keep up with her! Here are a few kits she released recently:

Hello Scrapland! I hope your weekend was nice and your week is going well! Mine could definitely be better. Last Friday I came down with a fever and sore throat. I thought it was gone on Sunday but I still had a slight sore throat and then I developed a cough. THEN, yesterday morning I woke up with pink eye! I still have a cough and now some sinus pain and headaches plus I’m trying to fight off this eye infection. I can’t wait for this week to be over! So, anyway, I didn’t get much scrapping done, but I did do a little. I’m here to show you a couple of kits by River Rose. Hello Scrapland! I hope everyone’s week went well! It was the first week of school for my little 1st grader and he is loving it so far! (Which makes me really happy!) I can’t believe how quiet the house is with him going to school full days. I still have the 2 year old here, but when he’s not fighting with his brother, he’s pretty docile…ok, maybe not docile, but a lot more quiet none-the-less!

Hello Scrapland! How is your week going? Mine was challenging. My 2 1/2 year old caught a virus and we were dealing with a high fever and sore throat all week. I felt like a mama gorilla with a baby hanging on me for 3 days. So far today it looks like he is feeling better, but I’m still keeping my fingers crossed! So, anyway, Pardon the Mess just released a cute new kit called Cooties based on creepy, crawly, cute little bugs. I had fun playing with it because my little one used to be such a wiggle worm! Hello Scrapland! How has your week been? Mine was fun, relaxing and exhausting all at the same time. We took a short vacation to the indoor water park and Six Flags. The kids had a ton of fun, but I quickly realized that I could definitely be in better shape! That’s what eNKay Design captured in her newest kit, A Breath of Fresh Air! Unfortunately Sugar Hill Co closed down their PU shop and have gone strictly CU, but eNKay Design has found a nice new temporary home for the month of July. Hello Scrapland! Happy Hump Day! Although this is kind of the end of my weekend, because I’ll be working tomorrow through Sunday. I’ve been picking up extra shifts at work because I have to make enough money to pay off the brand new bunk bed I just bought for my boys. It’s a gorgeous piece of furniture, but it’s one of the biggest purchases I’ve made in a long time! I wanted to get a very sturdy one to make sure my monkeys don’t destroy it…like they do Everything else!

Anyway, I’m here to show you a new kit from Scraps of Ellay. I absolutely love it, but I might be a little biased, having two boys. It’s called O Brother! and it’s comprised of primary colors, fun doodles and cute boyish elements. It’s perfect for about 90% of my pictures . Take a look at what I did with it:

Hello Scrapland! Did you have a good Mother’s Day? I worked all day, but I was surprised with a nice sushi lunch at work, so that made it all better! We also went to Medieval Times on Saturday to celebrate 3 Mother’s Days and 2 Birthdays, so everyone had a good time this weekend in this household!

But I’m not here to tell you about my boring life, I’m here to show you a super fun new kit from Scraps of Ellay! It’s called Lil Mama, and I think the colors and feel of the kit are just perfect for all of those fun mom’s out there! We aren’t all lacey baby pink and lavender types and this kit showcases that! Hello Scrapland! I’m back sooner then I expected, to show you a couple of Fabulous products that eNKay Design has at Sugar Hill Co. She had a GIANT 365 collection in her store previously, and just added a great coordinating grab bag! So, if you are doing the 365 challenge, this is definitely something you’ll want to take a look at! I combined all of the goodies and made this layout that will (eventually) be in a year in review book. Hello Scrapland! I have BIG news! I’m now on 3 CT’s again! I just joined a fabulous CT of a Super talented designer over at Sugar Hill Co! I’m now on the eNKay Design’s team!! I just found SHCO in December and I love the store and I love the designs over there, so I’m Thrilled to be joining one of the designers on their team!

AND, I was able to jump right in and start creating for her right away. I’ve already played with TWO of her most recent kits! And boy are they fabulous! (And guess what? Hello Scrapland! I hope everyone is having fun this holiday season and not getting too stressed out! I’m super happy, I just finished ALL of my shopping and ALL of my wrapping last night! Now I just have to get everything for Christmas dinner…

Oh, and I want to quick show you the final look of the Christmas cards we sent out. Remember, I used Shutterfly and made a folded 5x7 picture card? Well, here’s what all of our friends and family members received this year:

My First Year

Hello Scrapland! I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving and a very productive Black Friday! I know I did! Yep, I was one of those crazies walking into Kohls at 3am!! I love it! And, now that I am pretty much done with my Christmas shopping, I can relax and get some scrapping done!

Scraps of Ellay just put a very cute kit in store called My First Year, designed so that you can scrap all of your baby’s firsts with. I’m loving it because it’s getting me to actually scrap those baby pictures I took of my little one. Here’s what I’ve done so far:

River Rose Winter

Hello Scrapland! I want to say an early Happy Thanksgiving since I probably won’t be back until after! River Rose has been busy this month and has put out 3 winter/Christmas kits in the past couple of weeks! I’ve been having soooo much fun scrapping with them. Let’s get started with the eye candy, shall we?

This first one is a collab she did with Amanda Carlson. I absolutely love everything about this kit. The colors, the theme, the cuteness!

Shutterfly Holiday Cards

Hello Scrapland! I don’t know about you, but during my 5 minutes of downtime a day, I’ve been thinking about how I’m going to get my Christmas cards out. Usually I would try to throw something together myself, but I can already tell that I’m just not going to have the time this year. I’ll be lucky if I can get some nice holiday photos taken! So, I’ve been looking into it and it looks like Shutterfly will be my go to place for cards this year. They have hundreds of templates with something for everyone!

The layout I’m choosing to go with this year is simple and elegant and will give me room on the inside to write a nice note telling everyone what’s been going on this year in our household. What a time saver!! Check out the template I chose:

If you are too busy to even send out Christmas cards, maybe sending Happy New Year cards are more for you. They have a HUGE selection of those as well! Just click HERE to check out that selection!

Alice and I have also been known to put together photo calendars as Christmas gifts for family members. We usually make a layout for each month and then upload them to Shutterfly for them to put together calendars for us. Our family always loves getting those! Some neat features that Shutterfly has are:
- You can put pictures of birthday people On the day of their birthday!
- You can type in special occasions right onto the calendar!
- They have lots of pre-made templates, so if you are having scrappers block, don’t fret, you have the drag and drop option!!

November Boys

Hello Scrapland! I hope everyone had a fabulous iDSD! I didn’t do much on the computer because I had previous engagements, but I did take a ride on a couple of blog trains! There sure was some great stuff out there this weekend. I also took a trip to Archiver’s yesterday where they were doing a couple of free make-and-takes. (I Love Free!) It’s always fun to see the new techniques and products the paper scrappers are using nowadays.

Anyway, I’m not here to babble about my traitorous trip to the paper scrapping world. I’m here to tell you about the awesome kit River Rose released last Friday. I always get excited when she makes boyish kits! This time, she made a kit called “November Boys.” I love the name, the colors, the concept, EVERYTHING! November Playgroup

Hello Scrapland! I hope everyone had a fun and scary Halloween! I took my two little ones trick-or-treating, but they didn’t last very long. It was a little chilly here. I still had fun though (and am enjoying the candy).

Well, now it’s November and coming up this weekend is Digital Scrapbooking Day! Lots of places are planning LOTS of fun stuff to do all month in honor of DSD and River Rose is no exception. Hello Scrapland! Is everyone as ready for the weekend as I am? I’m having my sons’ birthday party (yes, one party for both :) ) this weekend at Chuck E Cheese’s. I usually do a big production at home, so this will be a welcome relief. Especially since all three of us have been sick all week.

But, I’m not here to chat your ear off. I’m here to show you River Rose’s new goodies!
